Executive Leadership
Since 2015, Ole has been committed to shaping Greif’s culture and driving its growth. With extensive experience spanning private, private equity, and public multinational companies, he brings deep operational expertise and a focus on sustainable growth strategies. Having lived permanently in five different countries and worked across five continents, Ole has developed profound insights into diverse cultures, business practices, and global market dynamics.
Before joining Greif, Ole was Group Managing Director for one of the world’s largest roofing manufacturers, where he gained significant experience in successfully turning around and growing several underperforming businesses. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director for a leading global window company group, further sharpening his leadership and strategic capabilities.
A passionate lifelong learner, Ole’s leadership approach is also shaped by his military training and his participation in executive programs at renowned institutions like Harvard Business School and top European organizations.
Larry Hilsheimer joined Greif in May 2014 as Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Scotts Miracle-Gro, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and President and Chief Operating Officer of multiple business units of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and Vice Chairman and Regional Managing Partner for Deloitte & Touche USA, LLP.
Larry serves on the Board of Directors of IBP (NYSE), Battelle for Kids and Root Insurance Company and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. He previously served on the Finance and Audit Committees of the Board of The Ohio State University. He also sits on the Dean’s Advisory Council at Fisher College of Business and has served as a Board member for The Ohio State University Alumni Association and numerous other charitable and civic boards.
Larry holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and a law degree from Capital University Law School.
Bala V Sathyanarayanan serves as the Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer. He is focused on delivering a world-class, diverse, and engaged workforce that can execute on Greif’s vision of, be the best-performing customer service company in the world. Before Greif, Bala served as Executive Vice President for Human Resources at Xerox Corporation.
Bala also led the human resource function for the Americas Enterprise Business at Hewlett-Packard and has had leadership roles at Avaya Inc., Coca Cola Inc, and United Technologies Inc. Bala was named to the list of Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business by the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) and named Executive of the Year by Columbus CEO Magazine.
Bala earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in General Management from the University of Madras in Chennai, India.
He also holds a Master’s in Human Resources Management from Rutgers University and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Tim Bergwall is the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Greif, where he leads global sales, marketing, and sustainability activities. Before assuming this role, Tim served as Group President of Paper Packaging & Services and Soterra Land Management LLC since 2014.
With over 35 years of experience in the paper packaging industry, Tim has held leadership positions in both large, integrated companies like Union Camp Corporation and smaller independent firms, consistently driving strategic growth for each organization.
Tim remains deeply engaged in the industry as current Chairman of the Fibre Box Association, the leading trade association for the corrugated packaging sector, and as Chairman of Boxboard Products in Greensboro, NC. His leadership extends to his role as past Chairman of the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation, which collaborates with over 20 universities nationwide to enhance packaging and engineering education through curriculum development, equipment donations, and funding. Additionally, Tim serves as a board member of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
Tim holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and has pursued further education through graduate programs at Kellogg School of Management, Harvard Business School, and The London Business School.
Kimberly (Kim) Kellermann is the Chief Operating Officer for Greif, overseeing enterprise automation, capital planning and execution, quality and regulatory compliance, environmental health and safety, and global supply chain and logistics operations, including material planning, transportation, and services spending, ensuring seamless operational alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
At Greif, Kim has spearheaded a global transformation, implementing modernized operating models and advancing the company’s business systems to new levels of performance. Her leadership reflects a relentless pursuit of excellence, a deep care for people, and a steadfast focus on aligning operations with Greif’s strategic objectives.
Prior to joining Greif, Kim held key leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including 17 years at Boehringer Ingelheim Roxane Laboratories, where she led a business transformation that doubled business volume, reduced non-value-added time, and exceeded financial targets.
With 30 years of experience spanning multiple industries, Kim’s career has been defined by relentless growth, transformative leadership, and a commitment to driving innovation and operational excellence.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering and an Executive MBA from The Ohio State University. She has also completed the prestigious Leading Global Businesses program at Harvard Business School.
Vivian Bouet is Greif’s Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIDO), joining us on December 5, 2022. Vivian brings over 28 years of experience in business and technology transformation and most recently served as the Chief Information Officer at CPS Energy, the nation’s largest municipally owned energy company with over $12B in assets under management. She was responsible for overseeing the technology roadmap, enterprise architecture, digital experience, business solutions development, and innovation functions. She also provided leadership in corporate strategic planning, change management, and enterprise program management.
In her role as CIDO, as part of the Executive Leadership Team, Vivian will help shape the company’s broader strategic direction, engaging customers and vendors through technology and digital solutions. Significant emphasis will be placed on anticipating change and identifying opportunities for innovation to ensure Greif maintains a leadership position within an increasingly competitive industry landscape while championing continued colleague growth and development.
Dennis Hoffman serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. He oversees global legal affairs, including governance, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, intellectual property, and real estate services, while also serving as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team and Board of Directors. Dennis is passionate about aligning legal strategy with business objectives, ensuring that Greif’s legal function adds measurable value across the enterprise.
Dennis brings a thoughtful, values-driven leadership style that emphasizes empowerment, cultural alignment, and resilience under pressure. This approach makes the legal team an essential partner in Greif’s broader success and reinforces the company’s reputation for strong workplace culture.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dennis is deeply committed to mentorship, governance, and community service. He serves on the National Board for A Kid Again, where he chairs the Governance and Nominating Committee, advancing the organization’s mission of bringing joy to families raising children with life-threatening conditions.
Dennis earned his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
Bill D’Onofrio joined Greif in August 2014 and currently serves as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations. Previously he held financial leadership roles across Greif leading Financial Planning & Analysis, Data & Analytics, Financial Systems and Business Unit Finance.
Prior to Greif, Bill held roles in private equity and investment banking. He currently serves as Board Chair of Flying Horse Farms. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of both the SeriousFun Children’s Network and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Bill is also involved with several organizations at the Fisher College of Business.
Bill received a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from The Ohio State University.
Gustavo Libanio is the Senior Vice President for Customized Polymers Solutions at Greif, where he leads the global strategy, operations, and business development of the Polymers division. With nearly 25 years of executive experience across industrial and packaging markets in Latin America, North America, and Europe, Gustavo has a proven track record of driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strategic transformation.
Since joining Greif in 2018, he has held leadership roles across regional and global levels, including Vice President & GM for Latin America, Vice President & GM for the Americas, and currently oversees the global Polymers Solutions business. His approach combines lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and customer-centric service and innovation.
Gustavo holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and has completed executive education at ESCP Europe, Fundação Getulio Vargas, Hult Ashridge, and Harvard Business School.
Alexander Johansson is Senior Vice President & General Manager for Durable Metal Solutions at Greif, where he leads the global strategy and business development of the SBU. Before assuming this role, Alexander served as the Global Leader for the Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) Strategic Business Unit.
With more than a decade in the company, Alexander has held a number of leadership positions, focusing on operational improvements, profitable growth and network consolidation.
Before joining Greif, Alexander spent almost two decades in the architectural flat glass industry in Northern Europe.
Alexander holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Organization and Economics and has completed leadership training in the Swedish Army and Harvard Business School.
Gaylord Benner serves as the Senior Vice President & GM for Sustainable Fiber Solutions at Greif, where he leads global initiatives focused on operational excellence, strategic growth, and sustainability across the packaging industry. With more than 25 years of international experience spanning North America, Latin America, and Asia, Gaylord is recognized for driving transformative results and building high-performing teams.
Before his current role in Fiber Solutions, Gaylord held several key leadership positions at Greif, including Vice President & General Manager Global Industrial Packaging for the Americas, Vice President & General Manager Flexible Products & Services for the Americas and APAC, and Vice President of Global Supply Chain & Logistics. Gaylord is actively engaged in industry and academic communities. He serves on the Alumni Board of The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and has held leadership roles in several industry associations, including President and Board Member of the Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container Association (FIBCA) and Treasurer of the Industrial Steel Drum Institute.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and has completed executive education programs at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and Harvard Business School.
Matt Leahy serves as the Senior Vice President of Innovative Closure Solutions, leading Greif’s global closures portfolio and advancing the company’s strategy for differentiated, value-added packaging components.
Previously, Matt was based in Singapore as Global Vice President & General Manager for Greif’s Asia Pacific (APAC) region, where he led sales and operations across five countries. During his tenure, he strengthened Greif’s regional market presence and advanced its growth strategy in Asia, improving operational performance across Steel, Polymer, and Closures businesses.
Matt joined Greif in 2018 as the head of Corporate Development, a position he held until 2023. In this role, he shaped Greif’s growth strategy and portfolio evolution through multiple M&A transactions across all business units.
Before joining Greif, Matt built a decade of investment experience in asset management, managing industrial portfolios at leading hedge funds, including Point72 and FrontPoint Partners. He began his career in management consulting with Booz Allen Hamilton, advising public and private sector clients on large-scale business transformation programs.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
